Army Chief meets with
Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman today paid a courtesy call on Principal Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release that during the meeting, the Army Chief briefed the Principal Advisor about the overall security situation in the country and the ongoing activities of the army. He also discussed various steps taken by the army for national development and stability.
General Waqar-uz-Zaman also briefed the Principal Advisor about his recent visit to the Central African Republic. He expressed hope that the visit will strengthen bilateral relations and military cooperation between the two countries.

He also briefed the Principal Advisor about the recent high-level review and recommendations regarding justice for previously deprived army officers.
He also briefed the Principal Advisor on the progress of the ongoing senior-level board to assess the issues of dismissed Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and other ranks of soldiers.
The Principal Advisor was also briefed on the Bangladesh Army’s initiatives in providing medical care to students and civilians injured during the July-August mass protests, the ISPR said.
The Principal Advisor appreciated the role and contribution of the Army and provided necessary instructions to the Army for future activities.
The press release further said that he expressed hope that the Army would continue to discharge its duties with professionalism and commitment to ensure the sovereignty and security of the country.
