Bangladesh will take action in consultation with the United States
Khalilur Rahman, the High Representative of the Chief Advisor, said that a measure will be taken after discussing with the country regarding the imposition of US tariffs. He said, ‘The matter is not sudden, we are ready for it.’
Khalilur Rahman said this at a briefing in front of the State Guest House Jamuna at 9:30 pm today, Saturday. Earlier, a meeting was held in Jamuna regarding the imposition of US tariffs. Khalilur Rahman said, ‘This is not a sudden matter for us. The Chief Advisor asked us to meet with the US government in early February. Based on that, he (Khalilur) discussed this with many people in the State Department in Washington in the second week of February. Since then, discussions have been ongoing with the US administration on this issue.’ He said, ‘So the matter is not sudden, we are ready for it.
