Desk Report :Three more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours and 141 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country due to dengue during the same period. A total of 129 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue this year.
This information was given in a press release on dengue sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday (December 21).
It said that among the patients admitted to hospitals due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 13 are in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 12 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 22 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 35 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 35 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 11 in Khulna division (outside the City Corporation), five in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), and eight in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation).
In the last 24 hours, 170 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital, taking the total number of dengue patients discharged this year to 98,269.
As of December 21 this year, a total of 1029 people have been infected with dengue. Of these, 63.1 percent are men and 36.9 percent are women.
Three people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of dengue deaths this year to 561.
From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died of dengue, while a total of 321,179 people were admitted to hospitals due to dengue.
