This information was given in a gazette notification of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock today.
The notification said, “According to the Marine Fisheries Act 2023, a ban on all types of fishing has been imposed for 58 days from April 15 to June 11, like every year, to ensure the proper reproduction, production, conservation and sustainable fishing of fish in the maritime boundaries of Bangladesh.”
Fishing by all types of watercraft will remain completely prohibited during this period.
