Mobile market: Meat milk

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, the Department of Livestock and related parties have taken extensive initiatives to maintain normal supply of daily necessities such as meat, milk, and eggs during the holy month of Ramadan and to keep prices stable.

From the 1st to the 28th of Ramadan, mobile markets are selling broiler chicken, eggs, pasteurized milk, beef and mutton at affordable prices across the country, including Dhaka.

As of March 19, 2025, 69,430 buyers have benefited from this program nationwide. Of these, 396,586 are males and 212,844 are females.

Mobile market: Meat milk

Milk, eggs, broiler chicken, beef and mutton worth Tk 198 crore have been sold in these markets so far. As a result, the supply and prices of these essential food items have remained stable across the country.

Priority has been given to areas where public participation was high during the July movement. 25 mobile markets have been launched in Dhaka since the beginning of Ramadan.

A total of 40 new centers, including 23 more in Dhaka, 3 in Narayanganj and 14 in 7 divisional offices, will be launched from March 23, 2025, from the budget allocation of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Broiler chicken, eggs, pasteurized milk and beef will be sold at these centers.

Nationwide fixed price

Eggs (per dozen): 100 taka (previously 108 taka)

Broiler chicken (per kg): 250 taka

Pasteurized milk (per liter): 80 taka

Beef (per kg): 650 taka
