Desk Report :Education Advisor Wahiduddin Mahmud said, printing, binding, distributing and delivering textbooks to students on time is one of the priority tasks of the current government. We have completed various processes as soon as possible by giving importance to this issue.
He said this at a progress review meeting of textbook printing, binding, distribution and delivery activities at the conference room of the Secondary and Higher Education Division at the Secretariat on Thursday (December 19).
The Education Advisor said that the work of printing primary school books has progressed a long way and can be delivered to students on time. However, since the printing of higher secondary textbooks is a little slow, instructions have been given to the concerned to expedite this process.
In the meeting, the press owners highlighted their various problems. The Education Advisor assured them of a quick solution to these problems and urged them to print the textbooks quickly in the national interest.
At that time, Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr., Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and the Ministry of Labor and Employment, M Sakhawat Hossain, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Professor Dr. M Aminul Islam, Senior Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department Siddique Jobayer, Secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Department Dr. K. M Kabirul Islam, Chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board Professor Dr. A. K. M Riazul Hasan, representatives of various printing presses and concerned officials of the ministry were present.
