‘False’ report by Indian media: ISPR strongly condemns

The Bangladesh Army has condemned a recent report published in some Indian media outlets. The report has been termed as completely false and a deliberate misinformation campaign aimed at tarnishing the stability and reputation of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Armed Forces. Ziaur Rahman’s Independence The interim government has reinstated the Independence Award given to Ziaur Rahman posthumously in 2003. A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday. Following a Supreme Court order in 2016, the then government had cancelled the Independence Award given to Ziaur Rahman in 2003.
