Supreme Court blocks removal  Israel’s Supreme Court has suspended the removal of Ronen Bar, the head of the country’s domestic intelligence agency, Shin Bet. The court will make a final decision on the matter by April 8. The Israeli cabinet approved the decision to remove Bar on Thursday. Ziaur Rahman’s Independence The interim government has reinstated the Independence Award given to Ziaur Rahman posthumously in 2003. A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday. Following a Supreme Court order in 2016, the then government had cancelled the Independence Award given to Ziaur Rahman in 2003. According to the interim government, the decision of the previous government was cancelled as there was no instruction to cancel Ziaur Rahman’s Independence Award and considering his outstanding contribution to the Liberation War.
