Ziaur Rahman’s Independence The interim government has reinstated the Independence Award given to Ziaur Rahman posthumously in 2003. A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday. Following a Supreme Court order in 2016, the then government had cancelled the Independence Award given to Ziaur Rahman in 2003.
